Legal Intern
REPORTS TO: SVP, Legal Affairs
LOCATION:
Hybrid in Middle River, MD
PAY RATE: $18.00 Per Hour
JOB OVERVIEWThe Legal Intern will support the Legal Team in the legal support of Prometric’s business. This position will assist with the review and organization of contracts in connection with the implementation of Prometric’s new Contract Management System; internal investigations, Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) research, and other tasks and assignments, as needed.
The legal department interacts with all the different teams at Prometric and must develop a general understanding of all the operations to properly execute tasks. It is a cross-functional work environment which provides exposure to multiple aspects of the Company. The pay rate for this role is $18.00 per hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist in reviewing and organizing client contracts in connection with the implementation of Prometric’s new contract management system.
- Use templates and standard processes to complete tasks and assignments as needed.
- Work with internal stakeholders to review, manage, and update Prometric’scontract forms and internal policies.
- Assist in conducting internal investigations under attorney supervision, including organizing documentation, preparing timelines and issue summaries, and supporting fact-gathering related to employee relations, test center operations, and third-party matters.
- Conduct legal and business research on discrete issues (e.g., contract terms, regulatory requirements, and employment-law frameworks)
- Familiarity with OFAC and able to assist with documentation and research.
- Work with internal stakeholders to complete or assist with service requests and follow-up until successful completion.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Currently pursuing BA in Political Science, English, Economics, Pre-law or Business Administration
- Detail oriented problem solver
- Ability to prioritize competing requests and elevate issues appropriately
- Proficient in MS Office
- Word - Templates
- Excell - VLOOKUP's
- Capable of working independently and within groups.
- Strong interpersonal, research, written and comprehension skills with a healthy curiosity.
- This position is primarily remote, with the ability to work onsite in Middle River, MD 1 day per week as needed based on business requirements. As a hybrid role, the Legal Intern must have a suitable remote work environment, including reliable internet access and the ability to perform work duties from home using Company-provided equipment.
