We are seeking a Proposal Support Intern in Chantilly, VA from May 26 through July 31, 2026.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated intern to join our Enterprise Program Management Office (EMPO) at Hexagon US Federal. As an intern here, you will have the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in federal government contracting and how to prepare and respond to government solicitations by working closely with our team of professionals. You will be expected to assist with day‑to‑day operations, contribute to ongoing projects, and participate in various tasks that support the department’s goals.

Additionally, interns will participate in weekly speaker series featuring prominent leaders across the organization. This internship will provide you with valuable exposure to your field of study, offering a chance to develop skills, network with professionals, and apply your academic knowledge in a real‑world setting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop Content for Future Opportunities: Work with EPMO to assemble a reusable body of content from existing bids, review live solicitations to create templates and outlines for live bids based on government requirements, and learn about different pricing strategies and assist with pricing model development.
  • Assist with Current Bid Planning/Coordination: Provide assistance to proposal managers and/or senior staff on preparation of proposal for new and follow‑on work.
  • Bid, Pricing, and Proposal Support: Individual specific tasks will be assigned for department processes and tools review, as well as one‑on‑one job shadowing of any proposals in process.
  • Assist with Operations & Data Cleanup: Work with the EPMO and team to review, clean, and organize resumes. Audit and update internal databases for accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Organize digital repositories (files, folders, shared drives, or tools). Help document and improve internal processes and workflows. Support basic data entry, tagging, and quality control tasks.
  • Provide General Support to the EPMO, as needed: Contribute to other initiatives and responsibilities as business needs evolve.

What we are expecting from you:
  • Ability to work a hybrid/onsite work schedule
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited institution’s associate’s or bachelor’s program
  • Available 40 hours a week/full‑time
  • Located near our corporate office (Chantilly, VA)
