Job Description

We are looking for candidates with Building Products and Distribution experience! Avery Dennison is seeking a Regional Sales Director to lead Taylor Adhesives, a flagship brand within our North American Materials Group. This is a high-visibility leadership role designed for a commercial strategist who thrives at the intersection of complex distribution channels and technical product innovation. As the primary architect of the Taylor Adhesives growth strategy, you will go beyond traditional sales management.

You will navigate a sophisticated matrix organization to align R&D, Marketing, and Operations with the evolving needs of the building products and flooring industries. We are looking for a visionary leader who can mentor a high-performing team of 8 regional experts while personally cultivating executive-level relationships with our largest North American distributors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), owning the roadmap for market share expansion and profitability.
  • Represent Avery Dennison as a thought leader in major trade associations and technical conferences, shaping the future of the adhesives and flooring sectors.
  • Transition from tactical oversight to true people development, attracting and retaining the next generation of commercial talent for the Materials Group.
  • Lead sales efforts to profitably grow the Taylor Adhesives business.
  • Develop and execute appropriate business and customer plans.
  • Develop new business models and negotiate major contracts.
  • Develop personal relationships with major clients.
  • Key contributor in the development of strategic and operating plans (AOPs, strategic plans, etc.).
  • Work with Marketing to formulate strategy, select key target markets, identify prospective customers, and identify unmet customer needs.
  • Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable goals that create competitive advantage.
  • Identify, assess, develop and manage new programs and new business opportunities for assigned areas, leading to successful commercialization efforts.
  • Lead and manage priority growth projects, including teaming efforts and project management across R&D, manufacturing, quality and application development.
  • Participate in trade associations and technical conferences related to target markets opportunities.
  • Develop and implement long-term Business Development strategies geared toward greater market share and profitability.
