Position: Compensation Analyst – Remote (Exp in Sales Commission & Xactly system)
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6 Months
Total Hours/Week: 40.00
Shift Timing: M-Friday 8-5PM PST (some flexibility)

Notes: Experience in sales commission. Experience with the Xactly system is a big plus. We are looking for commission processing experience, not payroll or HR functions.
Resume Must Haves:
- Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables at a minimum)
- Detail oriented
- Good customer service skills for internal stakeholders; articulate and able to explain calculations
- Report to the Sr Manager – Incentive Compensation as Analyst, IC Administration; timely and accurately process sales incentives for the US sales team.
- Administer compensation plans and create or update logic in the Xactly Incent compensation system.
- Work with business partners to obtain crucial data for processing.
- Diligently work with HR to meet deadlines and track new hires/terms.
- Generate revenue reports through tools such as Qlik View as needed for monthly processing.
- Use complex Excel formulas and provide excellent service by resolving and researching reps' inquiries in a timely manner.
- Calculate sales commissions according to compensation plans and policies accurately and timely.
- Update the sales compensation system with actual sales results, quotas, employee information, and plan data.
- Answer and resolve commission questions and issues from assigned Sales team.
- Provide support and ad‑hoc reports for senior team members.
- Build and maintain annual compensation plan models within Xactly Incent.
- Validate sales data for accuracy and consistency with program guidelines and terms & conditions.
- Assist with distribution of individual Compensation Plans and collection of plan agreements.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–5 years experience in FP&A, commissions, accounting, or sales operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn Xactly Incent and ability to leverage the platform for business needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation ability.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and integrity of monthly incentives.
- Ability to adapt to occasional flexible work schedules due to deadlines and ad‑hoc reporting needs.
- Think independently and challenge status quo for business benefit.
- Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of compensation plans, source data, and business contacts.
- Collect, organize, and input required components within Xactly Incent to calculate variable compensation.
