Day in the Life:

A Staffing Coordinator will build and maintain relationships with clients (healthcare facilities) and perform sales activities to generate new business. They oversee clinical staff and match them to appropriate work opportunities with clients. Communication, problem solving, time management and prioritization skills are key to success. A Staffing Coordinator has autonomy in their role and is encouraged to explore creative solutions to meet objectives.

The role reports to an Area or Market Manager who empowers a team of Staffing Coordinators to win their assigned geographic markets. They are doers and problem-solvers with grit and a positive attitude. Each day is different, and our Staffing Coordinators are constantly pivoting to fill top open orders and increase the number of shifts they fill. Ideal candidates are analytical, outgoing, competitive, and energized by meeting performance targets.

The role is a full-time, exempt, position (This is a hybrid role, with on-site work at our Lake Mary office Monday through Thursday, and remote work on Fridays) . Compensation for the role is base salary plus monthly commission based on gross profit margin (start earning commission after 30 days of employment).

Hiring Process:

What You’ll Do:
  • Serve as point person for clinical staff and clients in assigned geographic area to coordinate scheduling for short and long term assignments
  • Proactively communicate with and manage clinical staff throughout their employment via phone call, text, and email
  • Regularly reach out to active clients to manage accounts, maintain relationships, and gather feedback to make improvements
  • Actively listen, be curious, and ask thoughtful questions to understand client challenges
  • Conduct research using available data to identify target clients for business development
  • Perform sales activities including making cold calls to new/prospective client facilities to establish new contracts and generate new business
  • Sell available inventory by sending appropriate clinical staff information to clients
  • Quickly address and resolve urgent issues/situations with staff like no call no shows, late shift arrivals, shift cancellations, misconduct, or patient care/safety issues
  • Utilize technology platforms to find available staff, post and confirm shifts, update client profiles, and take notes on staff interactions
  • Prepare new hires for success at their first shift, including scheduling orientations as needed
  • Identify where more staff are needed to meet client demand and collaborate with manager and recruitment team on strategies to attract applicants or reengage former staff
  • Verify shifts worked and make necessary payroll adjustments as needed
  • Meet daily/weekly/monthly metrics goals for sales and staff engagement activities set by you and your manager
After 90 Days, You Should:
  • Have solid relationships with your clients and clinical staff
  • Understand how to research and identify prospective clients and know which strategies to use
  • Conduct successful calls with new clients and generate new contracts
  • Be able to use our technology platforms
  • Have rapport with staff and successfully book them for consistent shifts
