🚀 Lead Business Development (Manager, Key Accounts)

Are you a senior sales leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, relationships, and large-scale impact
? Do you enjoy shaping markets, leading teams, and partnering with some of the largest industrial energy users in the region?

We are hiring a Lead Business Development professional to drive growth across our Gas Distribution & Storage (GDS) Industrial segment in Ohio
. This is a high-visibility leadership role with direct influence over billions in capital investment and a clear path to Director-level progression
.

🔑 What You’ll Do
  • Own the market strategy for Ohio’s industrial natural gas customers, driving long-term growth and retention
  • Lead and develop a team of 6 senior sales professionals
    , setting vision, coaching performance, and removing obstacles
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle
    —from prospecting and solution design through deal execution and long-term account management
  • Act as a strategic partner to major industrial customers (data centers, power generation, large manufacturers), helping them evaluate energy options and scale with confidence
  • Influence cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, regulatory, marketing) to deliver integrated, customer‑centric solutions
  • Engage externally with agencies, regulators, and industry stakeholders to strengthen Enbridge’s market position
  • Use data and insights to track performance, optimize strategy, and exceed revenue targets
👤 Who You Are
  • A strategic, customer‑centric sales leader with 10+ years of business development experience
    , ideally in utilities or energy
  • Proven people manager with experience leading senior sales teams and large initiatives
  • Comfortable presenting to and influencing C‑suite executives without formal authority
  • Successful in target‑driven environments with complex, high‑value accounts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • Familiar with regulators, competitors, and the broader utilities ecosystem
  • Salesforce experience a plus

  • Onsite in Akron, OH (local Ohio candidates strongly preferred)

    20% local travel to visit customers
