Position: Field Inventory Analyst - New York, NY
Location: New York

Job Highlights

Application window closes on 9 Mar 2026. This field‑based role will support the New York, New York territory and is 100% field‑based. Candidates should reside near New York City and be eligible to travel overnight or long distance (25‑50 %) within the district.

Responsibilities
  • Field Inventory Management
    • Daily engagement with internal and external partners to coordinate inventory strategies.
    • Support inventory repositioning for emergent case needs, order fulfillment, short‑date management, stagnant inventory management, cycle count and accuracy corrections.
    • Partner with district service managers, clinical specialists and sales reps to ensure the right product is at the right place at the right time and execute the patient and customer experience through daily coverage logistics.
    • Coordinate Phase‑In/Phase‑Out activities for product launches, collection and access of inventory, ensuring accurate supporting documents.
    • Mobilize inventory for supply constraints and collaborate with the Customer Care Supply Chain Analyst and Field Inventory Program Managers to accelerate shared objectives.
    • Build credibility, trust, and respect with internal and external customers, look for win‑win solutions and develop business cases to support BU needs.
    • Review and analyze data, proactively identify issues and partner with stakeholders to drive action.
    • Communicate and facilitate execution of inventory initiatives with sales teams.
  • Account Consignment Inventory Management
    • Proactively monitor and maintain inventory levels at customer accounts.
    • Conduct cycle counts as needed.
    • Identify, segregate, return and swap expired and short‑dated units according to procedures.
    • Resolve discrepant inventory levels and educate customers on management requirements (handling, level maintenance, use‑by‑date, orders, returns, swaps).
    • Maintain effective relationships with Customer Care Supply Chain and Customer Service operations; assist sales field with signed Consignment Agreements and Inventory Schedules.

    Job Duties
    • Provide regular on‑call support for evenings and weekends when critical needs arise.
    • Remote position with local travel and occasional overnight or flight travel.
    • Adhere to FDA regulations, quality, training requirements, SOPs and work instructions; look for quality improvement opportunities.
    • Stay current on internal training and product knowledge; propose process improvement ideas.
    • Meet deadlines, communicate and reset expectations when timelines are not achievable.
    • Work a flexible schedule as business needs dictate.
Additional Information
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with clean record; subject to regular review.
  • Position supports the New York city district; must reside near NY.
  • Field‑based with 25‑50 % overnight/long‑distance travel.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years experience.
Nice to Have
  • High aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience with inventory management in supply chain or distribution environment.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently while traveling.
  • Ability to multitask in fast‑paced environment.
  • Systems knowledge:
    Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Salesforce, mStar.
  • Ability to travel overnight on short notice.
  • Interest in progressing to clinical or field roles (Clinical Specialist, Sales Rep, etc.).
  • Six Sigma Yellow, Green or Black Belt certification.
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; negotiation and influence skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Detail‑oriented, high‑quality work, independent decision making.
  • Knowledge of supply‑chain regulatory requirements, ability to assess procedures and resolve gaps.
  • Experience in a regulated environment, ideally medical device industry.
  • Proactive results drive.
