Mission Pet Health is searching for highly motivated individuals to manage the process of guiding prospective acquisitions through financial and legal diligence to closing day, while building a solid relationship for successful on-boarding and integration into the Mission network. Our ideal candidate is exceptionally skilled in communication and customer service. The Acquisitions Manager is critical to setting and upholding that standard. Our ideal candidate is also incredibly organized, has an agile approach to solving problems and prioritizing tasks, and has strong collaboration & communication skills when working with multiple teams across a fast-growing organization.
The acquisition team is a fun, tight knit group that supports and encourages each other. They have very different work experience that creates an environment of diverse skill sets that compliments the group—no one person has to be the expert on everything because they constantly leverage one another’s experience and skills.
Responsibilities- An acquisitions manager owns the closing process and is the primary point of contact for the seller and Mission internal teams. The overall job is to complete the necessary processes and push all parties to meet deadlines to achieve financial understanding, assist in deal negotiations, and team onboarding while ensuring the customer has a white glove experience.
- Manage multiple deals with strict deadlines. Frequently need to change agile to ensure competing deadlines are achieved.
- Constantly communicate with practice owners and guide them through the entire partnership process as efficiently as possible while always prioritizing the premier customer service experience.
- Coordinate, track, and push due diligence activities, including financial, HR, vendor relationships, key contracts, and other key integration items required for a successful partnership.
- Obtain a thorough knowledge of prospective veterinary hospitals and effectively communicate to internal Mission cross-functional teams.
- Communicate deadlines with all internal Mission cross-functional teams involved in the acquisition process and ensure prompt and efficient delivery.
- Assist sellers through the contract negotiation process, associate DVM employment agreements and overall legal process.
- Serve as the central contact for all selling parties, 3rd parties and Mission teams during the closing process.
