  • About the Position

  • We are searching for a permanent Financial and Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Underwriting team.
  • The starting salary will be determined based on a combination of skills, education, and experience. The salary range is $107,399 – $119,300 per year.

    Key Ways This Position Makes An Impact

    The Financial and Business Intelligence Analyst proactively monitors market trends, analyzes population data, and collaborate across departments to drive innovation and efficiency.

    In this role, you will develop financial models to support new, modified, and existing Group and Individual Benefits plans, incorporating profitability and segmentation insights to optimize pricing and plan design.

    The Analyst will map, optimize, and redesigns business processes by recommending changes to role responsibilities, staffing levels, workflows, and technologies with the goal of increasing profit margins and reducing costs.

    You will conduct proactive market analysis to understand external trends and suggest corrective plans, and monitor early indicators of market shifts and recommend strategic responses.

    In this role, you will perform organization and population analysis to inform Group and Individual Benefits planning and segmentation and present findings to senior leadership.

    You will design and implement data collection and reporting systems to support business decisions by creating dashboards and reports. Then you would collaborate with internal stakeholders to align data insights with strategic goals.

    Key Experiences You Bring To This Role

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, or equivalent.
  • 5 - 8 years of related experience in financial modeling, business intelligence, or benefits analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business narratives.
  • Excellent business acumen with the ability to identify to do various analysis (e.g., SWOT) of PBC’s products, consumer needs, and competitor offerings.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Excel (Power Query, VBA, Macros).
  • It’s preferred and considered an asset if you have:

  • A strong understanding of Group and Individual Benefits plans and related financial structures.
