Senior Category Manager

Job Summary

International Flavors and Fragrances, Inc. seeks a Senior Category Manager in Dayton, NJ, to develop regional Soy and Vegetable Oil category strategies for assigned categories and sub‑categories, ensuring raw material supply, managing costs, and capturing savings.

• Utilize SAP ERP to manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, including supplier management, purchase order processing, invoice tracking, inventory management, and financial activities.
• Use CLM tools to manage interactions with suppliers, approving new materials and overseeing supplier engagements.
• Manage vendor and product documentation using vendor quality databases.
• Manage vendor specifications, working with regulatory information and raw materials.
• Leverage the Power BI platform to perform spend analysis, identify savings opportunities, diversify strategies, and provide market intelligence for decision making.
• Develop and execute category strategy, translating it into actionable plans and presenting them to key leadership team members.
• Execute cost optimization, achieving year‑over‑year productivity savings for business units.
• Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, resolve conflicts, and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Manage a budget across commodity categories, including soybeans, soyflakes, and commodity oils.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or foreign equivalent.
• Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in a related occupation.
• Experience with SAP ERP, CLM tools, vendor quality databases, and Power BI platform.

40% national and international travel required. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to the work site.
