Things you’ll love about working here
  • No two days are ever the same! From visits to area businesses and luncheons on special topics to our once‑a‑month morning networking "Network B4 Nine" gathering or planning our annual She‑EO Women’s event, you’ll have a healthy but manageable To‑Do List with opportunities to engage with a diverse group of business professionals. A day in the life of a Chamber employee is focused on our members and helping them with their business needs.
  • It’s a full‑time job, but we have lots of flexibility. Occasionally we can take a day to work from home to encourage a healthy work/life balance. Need to go to the dentist next Tuesday? It’s ok and understood that you have a life outside of work. Not stressing about these interruptions allows you to focus on your productivity and job duties.
  • We have great members, and they are a ton of fun to network with and see at our events! Plus, as our Operations and Events Coordinator, you’ll be working with a group of volunteers, committee members and Chamber team that supports collaboration and innovation.
  • Ongoing professional development and training is supported! If there is a conference or webinar that is needed to enhance our skillset, our Board of Directors encourages personal growth so that we can be more efficient and innovative.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Operations: oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the Chamber, answer phones, maintain membership engagement and retention, plan events, manage finances, and perform administrative tasks.

    Collaboration:

work closely with the Chamber team to promote events and member success stories across digital platforms and newsletters.
  • Event Management: coordinate and execute Chamber events from conception to completion, including networking mixers, professional development seminars, after‑hours & recognition, golf outings, and specialty events, and manage volunteers, vendors, and venues.
  • Budget Oversight: oversee event budgets, vendor negotiations, and sponsorship agreements.
  • Partnership Building: build relationships with sponsors, vendors, and community partners.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Task‑ and detail‑oriented with proven track record of managing challenging situations.
  • Intermediate or higher level of proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and social media.
  • Polished demeanor and ability to work with people at all levels.

  • Experience leading creation of engaging social media content, planning, designing, and executing posts across various platforms.
  • Passion for helping businesses and member engagement.
  • Experience with association‑management software, Canva design, and Constant Contact email marketing software.
  • Experience in project management, workforce development, or community outreach.

This role is perfect for someone who loves building community, has an eye for detail, and is energized by bringing people together.
