Job DescriptionKENTECH is seeking an Investigative Analyst who is experienced, detail‑driven, and confident managing investigative work with limited oversight. In this role, you will conduct fact‑based pre‑employment investigations, identify inconsistencies, and produce clear, well‑written reports that meet quality and compliance expectations. You will also help improve how work moves through the process by staying organized, communicating early, and flagging risks before they become issues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct impartial, fact-based pre‑employment investigations in accordance with internal standards and client requirements.
- Review municipal and government applications and supporting documents, identifying key issues, red flags, and gaps.
- Detect discrepancies across records and documentation, then build a clear plan to resolve them through research and outreach.
- Perform criminal and civil record checks using public records tools and research methods.
- Manage multiple cases at once, maintaining consistent workflow and meeting deadlines without repeated follow up.
- Complete advanced internet research using multiple sources, validating identity and data accuracy.
- Make outbound calls to references, agencies, employers, schools, and other contacts to obtain time‑sensitive information.
- Draft and finalize investigative summaries and reports with strong grammar, structure, and clarity.
- Maintain proactive communication with leads and internal partners, escalating issues early when needed.
- Contribute to process improvements by sharing patterns, recurring issues, and practical recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Criminal Justice, Pre‑Law, Paralegal, Journalism, Political Science, or similar).
- 2+ years of experience in an office, administrative, investigative, compliance, legal, research, or document‑heavy role.
- Strong written communication skills, including editing and report‑quality writing.
- Comfort working in systems and learning new tools quickly (tech‑forward environment).
- Ability to handle sensitive data with professionalism and discretion.
- Must be able to pass security clearance to obtain a Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), or already have one.
- Must be willing to complete a drug test.
- Experience working on regulated, government, legal, or compliance‑driven work.
- Experience with public records research, identity verification, or background screening workflows.

Florida, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, New Jersey, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, or Washington.
