Accounts Payable and Payroll Assistant Bookkeeper

NHC Health Care Athens is looking for an AP/Payroll Bookkeeper to join our team!

Monday - Friday, 8 a.m.

- 4:30 p.m.

• Code all invoices and ensure proper approval is received prior to payment.
• Process payables weekly for check run.
• Handle funds in patient trust account, including petty cash disbursements to patients and balancing patient trust at month end.
• Communicate with vendors and employees.
• Accurate and timely preparation of month end books for submission to home office.
• Accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for 100+ employees.
• Serve as benefit specialist for 100+ employees.
• Coordinate annual open enrollment of benefits for all new employees.

• Proven bookkeeping experience.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Data entry skills and a knack for numbers.
• Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets.
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
• Customer service orientation.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Well organized team player.
