Job Title: Procurement Category Manager
Location: Remote
Type: Contract
What’s the Job?- Manage and optimize suppliers for mechanical data center equipment based on price, quality, service, and availability
- Lead sourcing activities including reviewing requisitions, approving purchases, and soliciting bid proposals
- Partner with engineering, legal, finance, and planning teams to align on data center design requirements and purchasing strategy
- Evaluate and monitor supplier contract performance, driving corrective action when needed
- Lead negotiations, contract execution, and issue resolution with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- 1–2+ years of procurement category management experience
- Proficient in MS Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams and driving alignment
- Practical contract management experience, including navigating issues post‑execution
- Opportunity to support next‑generation data center build‑out
- High‑visibility role partnering with engineering, legal, and strategic sourcing teams
- Remote work with flexible hours across time zones
- Experience influencing supplier strategy for new data center designs
- Work in a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment with meaningful project ownership
