Your mission with us We are looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Account Director to lead some of Sidekick’s most important payer partnerships. This role sits at the heart of our growth and long-term partner success. You’ll act as the senior executive counterpart for our partners, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure Sidekick consistently meets and exceeds partner expectations. In this role, you’ll own complex health plan relationships, develop a deep understanding of partner priorities, and drive high-impact engagements that unlock adoption, performance, contract expansion, and long-term strategic alignment.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, confidently engages with senior health plan executives, and brings a strong understanding of payer dynamics, digital health operations, and value-based storytelling.
- Act as the senior point of contact for large health plan and payer partners, owning relationship health, executive alignment, and long-term partnership strategy
- Develop a deep understanding of partner governance, market priorities, member engagement strategies, and internal decision-making dynamics
- Translate partner needs into Sidekick strategies, product roadmaps, and cross-functional priorities
- Drive renewals, expansions, and multi-year strategic plans through data-driven storytelling and clear value articulation
- Identify whitespace opportunities across lines of business (Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid)
- Support contract discussions in close partnership with Legal, Finance, and Executive Leadership
- Lead coordination across Product, Clinical, Data Science, Operations, and Engineering to deliver partner commitments with high quality and speed
- Anticipate risks early and ensure clear communication, effective escalation, and decision-making alignment
- Champion partner feedback to inform product evolution and roadmap priorities
- Own the narrative for performance reviews, QBRs, and executive steering committees, delivering an outcomes-driven story
- Partner with Analytics and Clinical teams to surface insights that drive adoption, engagement, and measurable clinical and economic outcomes
- Ensure delivery excellence across implementations, operational workflows, and ongoing program optimization
- Maintain a strong understanding of payer trends, the digital health competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and partner-specific strategic priorities
- Advise internal leadership on opportunities, risks, and evolving market dynamics relevant to Sidekick’s growth
- 7–10+ years in account management, partner success, or consulting supporting health plans, PBMs, care management orgs, or digital health companies
- Proven success managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise accounts and executive relationships
- Strong experience with enterprise SaaS deployments, including onboarding, integrations, and cross-functional coordination
- Deep familiarity with payer governance, procurement, value demonstration, and clinical/operational workflows
- Exceptional executive communication — clear, influential, and outcomes-focused
- Ability to quickly synthesize complex information and make sound strategic recommendations
- Strong operational discipline, program leadership, and risk management skills
- Data-literate, comfortable interpreting engagement, clinical, and financial metrics
- High integrity, strong ownership mindset, and bias for action
- Comfortable challenging constructively and driving cross-functional alignment
- Deep commitment to delivering meaningful health outcomes
- Based in or near Minneapolis, MN and authorized to work in the U.S.
- This is a remote position, with collaboration across time zones as part of a global development team
