We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join ourCS&BDteam,with a strong focus on Sports-related projects and initiatives.
In this role, you will evaluate consumer trends& competitordynamicsin
Sports,andassess real commercial opportunitieswithinthe
Sports media ecosystem. You willrun business case analysis, develop strategic recommendations, and help define the long-term direction of our Sports offering, working closely with cross-functional teams across Disney+ and ESPN.
The ideal candidate combines exceptional analytical skillsand a collaborative mindset,with agoodunderstandingofboththe sportsmediaindustry andthe streaming business. You willbe directly involved indevelopingbusiness cases for major sports rights acquisitionsandcommercialpartnerships,accurately assessing the financial and operational impacts, to inform ultimater decision-making. You will also monitorperformanceof existing sports initiatives, recommending optimizations to maximize engagement, revenue, and overall valueto consumers.
This is a high visibility/ high impact role, where you will work directly with senior leaders across Disney+ and ESPN,andsupportoncriticaldecisions that will shape our Sports offer across EMEA in the years to come.
Key areas of responsibility include:- Maintain a comprehensive,accurate, and up-to-date database of past and current sports media rights in EMEA, as well as upcoming rights tenders. This includesleveragingmultiple information sources (e.g., desktop research, internal knowledge from ESPNteams,…)and will contributetomaintaininga forward-looking, prioritized pipeline of target rights.
- Conduct research and analysisonindividual sports and media rights to support the evaluation of sports rights pitches andinformbusiness cases for sports rights acquisitions. This work will combine information provideddirectlyby rights holders, thorough desktop research, andgatheringofinternal knowledge from ESPNteams,researchteamsand other relevant stakeholders within TWDC
- Supportthedevelopmentof business cases for sports rights acquisitions, including financial & subscriber modelling, valuationanalysisand scenario planning
- Work closely with Marketing, Programming, Product,Commercial, Production sand otherteamsto translate rights acquisitions into actionable go tomarketplans, ensuringtimelyandsuccessfullaunches
- Track performance ofacquiredsports rightson Disney+, providing insights to improve overall sports content performance on the platform and enhance the consumer experience
- Supportanalysisofothergrowth opportunities for
Sports in EMEA (e.g.,commercial partnerships, evolution of commercial offer, introduction of new product features), assessing strategicfitand financial & operational impacts - Support preparation of annual strategic business review andmulti-year planfor Sports, including coordination with relevant Regional and US/Global stakeholders.
- Monitorkey Sports trends-including consumer preferences,competitors(rights owned, monetization strategies, commercial offers, product features,etc.)and broader Sports landscape dynamics-, extracting meaningful insightstoinform key decisions
