The Contracting & Sourcing Specialist will support the Procurement Manager in executing sourcing strategies and managing contracts within a hybrid procurement framework. This role focuses on delivering cost savings, ensuring compliance, and optimizing supplier relationships through effective sourcing and contracting practices.
The Specialist will act as a subject matter expert for assigned categories, lead sourcing events, and manage the full contract lifecycle, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
** RESPONSIBILITIES
* ** Lead end-to-end sourcing events (RFx, renewals, negotiations) for assigned categories, ensuring value, quality, and speed.
* Negotiate commercial and legal terms (pricing, SLAs, liabilities, etc.) in partnership with Legal to mitigate risk.
* Draft, review, and manage contracts (MSAs, SOWs, renewals, amendments) in compliance with corporate policies.
* Maintain contract lifecycle integrity in systems (e.g., Ariba/SAP), including key terms, obligations, and renewal tracking.
* Conduct market and supplier analysis (TCO, benchmarks, risk signals) to inform sourcing strategies and negotiations.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to align sourcing plans with business needs and ensure policy compliance.
* Monitor supplier performance through scorecards and corrective actions to meet KPIs and service levels.
* Ensure regulatory and policy compliance, including procurement controls and audit readiness.
* Support third-party risk assessments (financial, cyber/privacy, ESG) and escalate material risks as needed.
* Track and report value delivery, including savings, compliance rates, and sourcing KPIs for management visibility.
** QUALIFICATIONS
* ** Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
* 5+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or contract management.
* Proven experience in drafting and negotiating contracts (MSAs, SOWs, renewals).
* Familiarity with sourcing processes and tools.
* Proficiency in procurement systems (SAP/Ariba preferred).
* Strong Artificial Intelligence, MS Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysis and reporting.
* Advanced negotiation and analytical skills.
* Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and compliance requirements.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
* CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent.
** HIRING PRACTICES
** The salary range for this position is $83,139–$103,924 CAD annually. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of job-related factors, including education, experience, knowledge, and skill set.
