The opportunity:

Building and nurturing client relationships is at the heart of our success. The retention and growth of our largest existing corporate clients are critical to our business, and we’re looking for someone who shares that passion for delivering exceptional service and building long term partnerships.

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Risk market professional to take ownership of relationships with some of our most significant corporate clients. In this role, you will maximise client value through high-quality, strategic account management that drives retention, strengthens engagement, and enhances our reputation as a trusted partner.

You will act as the primary point of contact for a defined portfolio of large corporate customers and intermediaries—taking proactive responsibility for relationship development, complex query resolution, and providing expert guidance. You will also collaborate with and support colleagues, helping them articulate our value proposition and deliver consistently outstanding client experiences.

Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full‑time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

What will you be doing?
  • Build strong relationships at all levels with our largest clients, providing clear, data‑led insights and regular scheme performance updates.
  • Managing a portfolio of Group Life and Group Income Protection policies.
  • Deliver engaging proposition overviews, particularly for Group Income Protection clients.
  • Lead with a strong focus on client retention, ensuring our major corporate customers feel valued and supported.
  • Use data to create meaningful insights that support informed decision‑making and help clients optimise scheme outcomes and retention.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to strengthen relationships with key intermediaries and position us as a preferred provider.
  • Collaborate with Underwriters to price and complete quotation requests.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the UK and international Group Risk market, applying up‑to‑date product and market knowledge effectively.
  • Understand and adhere to FSA requirements and the Training & Competence scheme, ensuring compliance across all activity.
What are we looking for?
  • A confident, relationship‑driven professional with strong relationship‑management capabilities
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate with impact
  • Proven experience in the Group Risk market or in a client‑facing, corporate account management role is essential
  • Ability to lead strategic conversations and build trust with senior stakeholders
  • Skilled at delivering compelling, data‑driven insights to large corporate customers
  • Solid understanding of the UK Group Risk market
  • Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills to manage a broad partner base
  • Commercial acumen and negotiation strength
  • Ability to identify value‑adding opportunities for customers and the business
  • Self‑motivated, solutions‑focused, and comfortable managing internal and external stakeholders
  • A customer centric mindset, ensuring experience sits at the heart of every interaction

As an inclusive employer we want to ensure that all candidates feel comfortable and are able to perform at their best during the interview. You’ll have the opportunity to let us know of any reasonable adjustment or practical support needed when you apply.

What will you get in return?

Everyone’s different. That’s why at Zurich, we offer a wide range of employee benefits so our people can choose what fits them and their life. Our benefits provide…
