Overview

Otter Products is hiring a Sales Director to lead our Amazon business. This role can be based in Fort Collins, CO or remotely anywhere in the US.

As the Director of Amazon Stores, you will serve as the strategic business leader accountable for delivering sustained, profitable growth for Otter’s Amazon business. As the P&L owner, this leader defines and drives the long‑term commercial strategy, optimizing product, assortment, and channel mix to achieve both revenue and profitability targets. This leader combines deep Amazon expertise with competitive insights and data‑driven decision making to shape portfolio strategy, elevate customer experience, and maximize long‑term value across the US, Canada, and Mexico Amazon businesses—including Amazon Business (B2B).

This leader will strengthen brand presence by working cross‑functionally to ensure best‑in‑class A+ content, imagery, video, and detail page optimization to drive conversion and accelerate growth.

In addition to stewarding the business, the Director provides strong people leadership, developing and empowering a high performing team responsible for execution across Amazon’s consumer and B2B platforms. Partnering closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, Technology, and Operations, the Director accelerates innovation, strengthens operational rigor, and steers strategic expansion within the Amazon ecosystem to fuel Otter’s long‑term growth.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee full P&L performance across Amazon channels, balancing revenue, profitability, and inventory efficiency.
  • Develop and execute strategy to grow Amazon 1P and expand into Amazon Business US/CA, Amazon Canada, and Amazon Mexico.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams including Product, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to optimize the Amazon business.
  • Identify new growth opportunities across Amazon ecosystems leveraging data, insights, and marketplace expertise.
  • Act as a thought‑leader for best practices on channel performance, challenges, and opportunities to accelerate growth.
  • Work with department and functional leaders to develop communication strategies enabling company growth.
  • Analyze business requirements, propose solutions and oversee projects to stay within budget and grow revenue goals.
  • Oversee merchandising strategy and highlight roadblocks / budget requirements to reach desired end state.
  • Identify site optimization opportunities and manage performance: traffic, conversion, content, etc.
  • Work with IT and product teams to identify, develop and implement new revenue streams.
  • Provide insights and channel trends, performance, and opportunities to ELT and VP on a regular cadence.
  • Support and maintain a positive safety culture by being an active leader in all safety program initiatives.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. Degree in marketing, business, or related field of study is preferred. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in merchandising, sales, or eCommerce is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing Amazon P&L required.
  • Experience with Amazon 1P required.
  • Minimum of 4 years in a manager or higher‑level role is required.
