Introduction

The Bureau of STAR is seeking three (3) Business Analysts for their Procurement section! STAR is open to hiring at four (4) levels for this position:
Professional, Senior, Specialist, and Consultant Administrator.

The Professional level is an entry level where emphasis of the work is in developing skills in working with and/or understanding the interaction(s) between the business policy and the enterprise resource planning system. The Senior level is a developmental level where the incumbent will work with experienced staff to develop necessary skills and abilities to accomplish higher level responsibilities independently. The Specialist level is the objective level where incumbents will be expected to independently facilitate and implement system updates/modifications to business users and liaison with other teams/stakeholders.

The Consultant Administrator is the most advanced level and is expected to lead the section and act as a technical liaison.

Levels will be determined based on applicant qualifications and experience. Only one (1) Business Analyst can be hired at the Consultant Administrator level.

All employees are expected to live and work in Wisconsin. This position may have the option of working remotely within Wisconsin upon agreement of the supervisor, but may be asked to come to the office periodically. The schedule may change based on operational needs and organizational requirements.

Position Summary

The IS Enterprise Business Analyst Professional serves as a technical resource, resolving customer problems and is considered a functional system resource in regard to procurement and purchasing management. This position functions under close to limited supervision and is responsible for ensuring data integrity, protecting sensitive information through analysis/research and recommending solutions, policies, and procedures; evaluating system functionality; testing; and documenting the State’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System within the Procurement Section.

The IS Enterprise Business Analyst Senior serves as a business authority, resolving customer problems and is considered a functional system expert in regard to procurement and purchasing management. This position functions under limited to general supervision and is responsible for ensuring data integrity, protecting sensitive information through advanced analysis/research and recommending solutions, policies and procedures; evaluating system functionality; designing, testing, and documenting the State’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System within the Procurement Section.
