Overview
The Contracting & Sourcing Specialist will support the Procurement Manager in executing sourcing strategies and managing contracts within a hybrid procurement framework. This role focuses on delivering cost savings, ensuring compliance, and optimizing supplier relationships through effective sourcing and contracting practices.
Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end sourcing events (RFx, renewals, negotiations) for assigned categories, ensuring value, quality, and speed.
- Negotiate commercial and legal terms (pricing, SLAs, liabilities, etc.) in partnership with Legal to mitigate risk.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts (MSAs, SOWs, renewals, amendments) in compliance with corporate policies.
- Maintain contract lifecycle integrity in systems (e.g., Ariba/SAP), including key terms, obligations, and renewal tracking.
- Conduct market and supplier analysis (TCO, benchmarks, risk signals) to inform sourcing strategies and negotiations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align sourcing plans with business needs and ensure policy compliance.
- Monitor supplier performance through scorecards and corrective actions to meet KPIs and service levels.
- Ensure regulatory and policy compliance, including procurement controls and audit readiness.
- Support third-party risk assessments (financial, cyber/privacy, ESG) and escalate material risks as needed.
- Track and report value delivery, including savings, compliance rates, and sourcing KPIs for management visibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or contract management.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating contracts (MSAs, SOWs, renewals).
- Familiarity with sourcing processes and tools.
- Proficiency in procurement systems (SAP/Ariba preferred).
- Strong Artificial Intelligence, MS Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysis and reporting.
- Advanced negotiation and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent.
The salary range for this position is $83,139–$103,924 CAD annually. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of job-related factors, including education, experience, knowledge, and skill set.
This is an on-site with occasional work-from-home position that requires employees to work on-site four days per week with the opportunity to work-from-home one day per week. This will be conducted with a dedicated workspace at the assigned company office.
