Automotive Waste Solutions (AWS) has been a trusted partner to the UK automotive industry since 1998. Through our market-leading Total Waste Management Programme, we support major dealership groups, service centres, independent garages and accident repair networks nationwide. Known for our communication, industry expertise and quality of service, AWS continues to expand—and we’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join our team.

As an AWS Business Development Manager
, you will play a key role in winning, developing and retaining profitable customer accounts. From the outset, you will work closely with the AWS Commercial Director and senior leadership team, with significant exposure and accountability. You must be confident in monthly financial analysis, able to clearly explain the drivers behind results, and the actions required while taking responsibility for both successes and shortfalls.

This role offers a clear succession pathway for an individual seeking substantial responsibility, governance exposure, and long-term leadership progression within the business.

Working closely with the AWS Commercial Director, you will be responsible for:

• Targeting, qualifying, and securing new business
• Planning and booking appointments with decision makers
• Delivering professional presentations and contract proposals
• Managing the profitability of your customer portfolio
• Monitoring aged debt to ensure timely payments
• Providing monthly reports covering target account activity, new wins and market intelligence
• Monthly review of the AWS P&L, providing detailed analysis and insight
• Presentation of the monthly P&L at Directors’ meetings
  , working directly with senior stakeholders

This is a home-based, field-focused role requiring strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
