Job Summary: The OSP Grant and Contract Specialist II assists researchers and staff in the review and processing of sponsored project proposals and budgets under moderate supervision. Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and Local government regulations related to pre-award and/or post-award sponsored project activities. Provides oversight and review of grant and contract activities prepared by the researchers and their administrative teams and provides resolution on moderately complex matters.
Reviews and approves proposals with responsibility for timely submission to the sponsor. May provide training to OSP and college level staff, including use of electronic research administration systems and regulatory requirements. Serves as the liaison between the University and the sponsor.

Department Summary:
The Grants & Contracts Specialist - Subaward Coordinator will draft, issue, and coordinate execution of outgoing subawards under federal and non-federal sponsored projects. Ensure subawards are issued in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, prime sponsor requirements, and University policies. Collaborate with internal and external customers, consult with faculty, department administrators and other internal stakeholders such as the Office for Sponsored Programs, Office for Research & Technology Agreements, Contract & Grant Accounting, and the Office for Research Compliance.
Assist with reporting obligations such as the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA).
Required
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of grant and/or contract administration experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of grant and/or contract administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of professional work experience. Experience in the preparation and processing of grant and/or contract proposals. Experience in negotiation of sponsored agreements. Experience in sponsored agreement administration.
