See yourself at Twilio

Join the team as our next Deal Desk Analyst.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the Job

Twilio is looking for a curious, action-oriented Analyst for the Deal Desk Team who lives the Twilio Magic to support our North American Go-to-Market motion. This is an exciting role for an individual to gain and expand a broad spectrum of cross-functional interactions and contribute to non-standard commercial agreements or Order Forms (OF). This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations to evaluate, structure, and execute deals in a way that is a “win-win” for both customers and Twilio.

The ideal candidate is passionate, dedicated, and able to understand complex problems while providing financially sound, clearly communicated explanations and solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Establish trusted working relationships with Deal Desk team members, Commercial Legal, Billing Operations, Finance and Sales.
  • Ensure forward deal momentum while providing excellent customer service to our Sales partners, as well as troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve issues with deal velocity especially during month and quarter end.
  • Help educate, guide, and ensure that the Sales and GTM Operations Team follows the proper internal contracting policies and processes.
  • Analyze deal economics for standard and non-standard agreements, including pricing, discounting, term length, usage commitments, and margin impact.
  • Partner with Sales to structure commercially sound deals by evaluating tradeoffs across price, term, volume, and risk while aligning with Twilio’s financial guardrails.
  • Build and review basic financial models and scenarios to support non-standard deal requests and approval decisions.
  • Provide end-to-end quote to signature support for AEs, including: CPQ quote building, pricing and order form approvals assistance, OF creation, Docusign execution and opportunity closure.
  • Under supervision of manager or senior team member, collaborate with sales to create non-standard language requests for contracting (order form) in compliance with corporate policies.
  • Surface recurring deal patterns, approval exceptions, and operational friction points, and contribute to continuous improvement of deal desk processes and workflows.
Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn’t followed a traditional path, don’t let that stop you from considering Twilio.

We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required
  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree plus minimum 2 years experience in Deal Management, Sales Operations, Sales, Finance, or Business Operations preferably in contracting, procurement, or billing operations. If no degree, a minimum of 4 years relevant experience is required.
  • Demonstrated analytical and financial skills, with the ability to assess deal economics and explain financial tradeoffs clearly.
  • A diligent, detail oriented skill set, able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple responsibilities at one time, while remaining extremely organized.
  • Self-starter with a “can do” attitude who is comfortable asking questions
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Knowledge and/or experience using online sales and/or document management tools such as Salesforce, Tableau, CLM, and JIRA.
Location

This role will be a Remote position. Approximately 5% travel is anticipated.
