Contracts & Governance Manager FTC

Overview

This role plays a key part in supporting the Trading team by delivering the full contracting and deal lifecycle within the Trading function. You will be a subject matter expert on complex contract approval and execution processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective risk management, while sup[porting the drive for continuous improvement through enhanced processes, training, and external collaboration.

You will deliver to the development, negotiation, and approval of non-standard transactions. You will also support the development and operation of Trading’s commercial framework, manage and evolve all contractual, governance, and procedural documentation, and work closely with Legal, Compliance, and key stakeholders to ensure documentation remains current, controlled, and fit for purpose. , providing leadership and expertise to support change, strengthen governance, and enable the Trading business to operate efficiently and confidently.

• You will support the development and operation of Trading’s commercial framework, manage and evolve all contractual, governance, and procedural documentation, and work closely with Legal, Compliance, and key stakeholders to ensure documentation remains current, controlled, and fit for purpose.
• Provide leadership and expertise to support change, strengthen governance, and enable the Trading business to operate efficiently and confidently.

• Experience in managing contracts;
• Experience working with legal and compliance teams to ensure all contractual documentation meets regulatory standards;
• Familiarity with the dynamics of Power, Gas, and Environmental Commodities Trading;
• Knowledge of legal principles related to contracts, including approval and execution policies;
• Understanding of governance documentation, compliance requirements, and industry standards;
• Skills in managing and maintaining contractual and governance documents, including SCFs (Standard Contractual Forms) and ACFs (Approved Contractual Forms).
