Team/Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity within Citi’s Services’ Business Execution team for the UK cluster. The team drives the execution and delivery of UK Services Cluster strategic priorities and governance commitments. This role reports directly to the UK Cluster Business Execution Head (Director) at VP level and is integral to the UK Business Execution Team.
The role focuses on three key areas:
Management of UK Services governance in relation to the Senior Manager and Certification Regime (SMCR). Coordination of governance submissions to relevant UK forums (e.g., booking policy documents). Maintaining a comprehensive library of documents and artifacts demonstrating reasonable steps taken by UK Services Senior Managers (SM).
Working closely with the UK Services Lead of SMCR, this role ensures best-in-class governance. SMCR sets professional conduct standards for UK financial services individuals, enhancing accountability and improving conduct within firms. The mandate is to ensure adherence to SMCR guidelines for UK Services SMs, coordinate internal governance for Services UK, and submissions to wider UK franchise governance forums. Expertise in business management, governance, and regulatory knowledge, including the Certification Regime and Conduct Rules, is essential.
you'll do
Coordinate and manage monthly submissions to relevant UK Franchise forums.
Coordinate and manage annual updates to booking policy documents for relevant legal vehicles (LVs).
Constantly enhance and improve SMCR-linked governance for the UK franchise.
Partner with the UK Services SMCR Lead to ensure Services' compliance with the SMCR framework.
Perform general corporate secretarial duties, including coordinating Services governance meetings, tracking deliverables, and maintaining accurate records in a state-of-the-art library to demonstrate appropriate reasonable steps.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Ability to work effectively and drive results within complex, matrixed organizations.
Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork and organizational capabilities.
Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Project).
Passion for utilizing Artificial Intelligence tools.
Knowledge of UK regulatory and SMCR regime.
Experience with UK corporate governance in a Financial Services firm.
Proven experience in leading governance, corporate secretarial activities, initiatives, and driving change.
Strong communication abilities to serve as a liaison between groups, fostering cooperative and collaborative working.
Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree desirable).
