About the placementSt Leger Homes is an award-winning, customer focused social housing provider that manages over 19,000 homes on behalf of the City of Doncaster Council. Starting on September 1st, 2026, our Corporate Services Student Placement will provide an enthusiastic and dynamic undergraduate with the opportunity to gain experience in three central business areas:
Human Resources and Organisational Development, ICT and Business Transformation, and Finance and Governance. Spending approximately 4 months in each business area (with flexibility depending on business needs and candidate interests), you will be involved in a range of activities from leading our regular colleague pulse surveys and colleague recognition, to discovering current business processes and assessing how we could improve them with the Business Transformation Team, to working with Finance and Governance on tasks ranging from business intelligence research to ensuring compliance and gaining experience in day-to-day finance functions.
This is a varied role with the potential to provide valuable insight into possible careers.
Based at our Civic Office in the centre of Doncaster but with flexible home working and occasional work at our Shaw Lane depot, the successful candidate will be hardworking, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines. You will have strong communication skills, be keen to build relationships across the organisation, and be eager to learn.
ResponsibilitiesContribute to central business activities across multiple areas, including Human Resources and Organisational Development, ICT and Business Transformation, and Finance and Governance. Participate in activities such as supporting colleague pulse surveys, recognition initiatives, and process improvement initiatives with the Business Transformation Team. Engage in day-to-day finance tasks and support compliance with regulations and legislation. Gain insight into potential career paths within the central services of the organisation.
