This posting intends to fill one (1) regular full-time Senior Productivity Analyst position. SMUD’s Strategic Planning, Performance & Analytics team is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Productivity Analyst to lead high-impact projects that enhance productivity across our People Services & Strategies (PS&S) department and beyond. The role leverages continuous improvement, project management, and customer experience excellence to drive measurable results.
Responsibilities- PS&S OpEx Lead: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, variation, and non-value-added work in PS&S processes. Facilitate process mapping, root cause analysis, and Kaizen events. Partner with leadership to prioritize opportunities and maintain process inventory.
- QA/QC Lead: Establish processes to prevent and detect errors. Define quality standards, develop quality plans, and train SMEs. Oversee QC efforts and report performance to management.
- Employee Experience Excellence Lead: Design, measure, and continuously improve the end-to-end experience of PS&S customers across the employee lifecycle. Embed customer-centric design, data-informed decision-making, and continuous improvement into all programs and touchpoints. Deliver training for staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Conduct analytical studies, develop performance improvement strategies, and manage administrative projects to improve operational performance and achieve cost savings.
- Manage multiple complex projects concurrently, including planning, directing, monitoring, and evaluating milestones.
- Prepare project implementation plans, schedules, and detailed task development.
- Lead key business initiatives and develop short- and long-term strategic and operational plans.
- Partner with stakeholders across business units and departments to balance customer experience and internal priorities.
- Identify and implement cost savings and performance monitoring initiatives.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalency (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum five (5+) years of progressively responsible experience in evaluating business and automated information systems, developing productivity improvement and performance monitoring systems, and applying performance improvement strategies.
- Skills: Analytical, project management, process improvement, quality assurance, customer experience design, data analysis, communication, and facilitation.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
Process Improvement Certification (Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ASQ);
Project Management Certification (PMI, Scrum Master, etc.);
Business Analysis Certification (IIBA, ASQ);
At least five (5+) years consulting experience with documentation creation, gap analysis, metrics, and ROI;
Kaizen event facilitation;
Designing optimal customer experiences.
