The Franchise Business Coach (FBC) serves as the primary support for barre3 Studio Owners, directly influencing the performance and profitability of Franchise Studios. The FBC mentors, advises, and supports Franchisees by providing personalized guidance to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
This includes assisting Franchisees in setting actionable, measurable business goals; delivering tailored coaching, training, and development services; developing and facilitating strategic initiatives to promote sales growth and profitability; and ensuring brand consistency through education and guidance on unit and multi-unit operations.
Successful FBCs possess strong technical, analytical, and communication skills to interpret studio Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identify areas of opportunity, recommend best practice solutions, develop action plans to achieve Franchisee goals, and provide accountability and consistent follow‑up to ensure maximum results.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Franchise Owner Coaching- Build trusting relationships with assigned Franchisees, serving as their primary corporate support contact and operational coach.
- Conduct quarterly business calls with each owner to:
- Understand Franchisee's business aspirations and current challenges.
- Collaboratively develop an individualized business/operational plan with specific goals, key initiatives, and deadlines to achieve maximum growth potential.
- Review KPI Dashboards to celebrate above‑average performance compared with the overall fleet.
- Review KPI Dashboards for below‑average performance, creating action plans for resource utilization from the HUB and/or engaging subject matter experts (e.g., marketing for new client acquisition).
- Solicit feedback on franchisor systems, policies, and areas for improvement.
Influence Franchisee behavior to promote profitability, operational excellence, local market sales growth, and successful change management. Motivate owners to implement improvements to their strategy and operational structure. Demonstrate ability to create structure and prioritize work effectively to achieve the highest impact.
KPI Analysis- Analyze and interpret the KPI Dashboard for each studio to identify strengths, weaknesses, areas for improvement, and potential red flags.
- Review and interpret the Metrics Dashboard with each assigned Franchisee on a quarterly basis. Coach owners on the importance of each metric, target ranges, and what each metric indicates about the health of their business.
- Identify areas of improvement/opportunity, suggest appropriate Home Office resources, and devise tailored action plans.
- Provide monthly follow‑up to ensure accountability and deliver additional guidance as needed.
- Act as an active and engaged brand ambassador, ensuring compliance with brand operations, sales, studio environment, product, and business standards.
- Responsible for understanding, interpreting, upholding, and enforcing system standards, policies, and contracts, as well as communicating and implementing any changes to these with Franchisees.
- Ensure Franchisees have completed and implemented all current unit‑level training programs.
- Assess ongoing training needs of Franchisees and identify areas of growth. Responsible for the communication, training, and follow‑up of all new product, service, and process rollouts to assigned Franchisees. Provide hands‑on training when applicable.
- Conduct field visits at assigned franchise locations. Provide an assessment and written follow‑up after each visit and ongoing meetings to ensure execution of action plans.
- Provide frontline Franchisee perspectives in the identification and development of new initiatives; provide communication and training to define and solve Franchisee challenges.
- Work closely with department leaders in marketing, operations, training, and finance to understand current and upcoming campaigns, best practices, and other initiatives that impact Franchise Studios.
