Business Development Manager (bakery products) - full-remote | B2B
EUR 3,000 – 3,500 gross per month (fixed component) + % as bonus per KPIs
Our client is an international FMCG producer active in the food sector, with existing product listings and commercial partnerships on the Romanian market. The company is focused on accelerating national coverage, strengthening key account relationships, and expanding its commercial footprint.
Role overviewThe Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving commercial growth in Romania through a combination of key account management and new business development. The role has strong autonomy and requires an entrepreneurial approach, with accountability for market development, negotiations, and performance delivery.
Key responsibilities- Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the Romanian market
- Manage and expand relationships with existing key accounts and distributors
- Identify, approach, and onboard new modern trade and strategic retail partners
- Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, listings, and promotional agreements
- Drive turnover, volume, and profitability in line with agreed objectives
- Prepare and implement annual and account-specific business plans
- Build and execute promotional and activation plans in coordination with internal stakeholders
- Monitor market trends, customer performance, and competitor activity
- Maintain accurate CRM data, sales reports, forecasts, and pipelines
- Act as the primary commercial representative of the company in Romania
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or key account management within FMCG
- Strong exposure to modern trade and retail negotiations in Romania
- Existing network with retailers and distributors is a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of the Romanian FMCG and retail landscape
- Experience managing commercial targets and performance KPIs
- University degree completed
- High level of autonomy, initiative, and ownership
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
