The Manager, Sales Insights is a member of the Business Excellence team that partners with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Customer Experience teams. This role drives the effectiveness of the AIR Field Force by providing actionable insights and analytics, optimizing territory alignment, in support of the Respiratory Sales Force. The Sales Insights team serves as an internal consultant to Sales and Brand leadership to help them make informed strategic decisions through analytic guidance and insights.
The role also liaises across internal teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of strategies supporting the AIR product launch.
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, and other business units to facilitate communication, resolve issues, and ensure coordinated efforts for AIR product launch initiatives.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, territory-level performance, and competitive intelligence to provide actionable insights that drive sales strategies and performance. Work with the Sales Force to identify opportunities for growth and optimize sales tactics.
- Lead efforts to optimize territory alignment by analyzing sales potential, customer segmentation, and geographic considerations. Ensure territories are structured to maximize coverage and efficiency, driving sales productivity.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization and align strategies with business goals.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and other analytical resources that provide real-time, actionable data for sales teams and leadership.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve sales processes through data-driven insights, automation, and technology. Promote best practices in data management, reporting, and analytics.
- You will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, analytics, life sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical or biotechnology insights, analytics, or sales operations.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical sales processes, territory management, and field force optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify operational needs, and implement improvements.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI); strong command of MS Office Suite.
- Ability to connect analytics to business objectives and influence decision-making.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and serve as a liaison between teams. Ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for leadership.
- Skilled at managing ambiguity, validating data, and applying critical thinking to complex scenarios.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or Pharm
D). - 7+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in a biopharmaceutical company or related industry (e.g., management consulting, market research).
- Experience supporting product launches and cross-functional initiatives in a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of patient-level data sources including claims, EMR, GPO, IQVIA or other relevant pharmaceutical data.
- Respiratory therapeutic area experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of CRM platforms (e.g. Veeva Vault) and experience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
Hybrid role based in Cary, NC.
