Team Member, Dynamic Skills Lab (HYBRID or REMOTE)
At Equitable, our power is in our people. We are America’s first fully Agile financial services company. We create an environment where cross‑functional, multidisciplinary teams work independently under a clear set of strategic guidelines, applying Agile working methods to implement missions. In this role, you will work 2-3 days per week in office and 2-3 days per week remotely.
Role DescriptionThe successful candidate will join the Dynamic Skills Lab Team within the Innovation & Design Office. The mission of the Innovation and Design Office is to increase the metabolism of the enterprise by fundamentally changing the way we think, work and lead as an organization. The team will develop content and curricula aligned to three pillars: leadership development, business acumen and NWOW skills to selectively train and drive employee development with proprietary intellectual property.
The individual will partner with senior stakeholders to problem‑solve, design and develop measurable and impactful data‑driven solutions. To succeed, the team member will be able to work independently but also collaborate with and lead others, thrive in an ambiguous environment and have a relentless focus on outcomes.
What we’re looking for- A passionate learning and development guru who:
- Is a first‑class problem‑solver and excels in future‑proofing employees
- Drills down to root causes to clearly identify and articulate core problems, not symptoms
- Is able to explore new domains and grasp complex concepts quickly
- Leverages outside research and industry trends to provide thought leadership
- Combines strong logical thinking with the ability to formulate creative solutions
- An outcome‑driven team member who:
- Takes ownership of work streams and relentlessly focuses on driving results
- Is a “do‑er” – can build & structure unique curricula aligned to employee segments and NWOW
- Perseveres in the face of challenges and even thrives on uncertainty and ambiguity
- Shows good judgment about when to get input or ask for help
- Is low‑ego and willing to do whatever it takes to help the team succeed, however small
- A strong listener, communicator, and facilitator who:
- Actively listens to stakeholders’ needs and can take the perspective of counterparts
- Synthesizes complex ideas into simple language and actionable next steps
- Brings people together to build consensus and co‑create solutions
- Demonstrates powerful oral and written communication skills
- Create official Equitable content and curriculum for leadership development, business acumen and NWOW skills targeted toward unique employee segments
- Deliver training and facilitate group learning sessions
- Convert content into multimedia forms to deliver modular, on‑demand learning
- Support content adaptation or new content creation for enterprise programs, leveraging data
- Continually assess enterprise skill acquisition, leveraging data to measure success
- Serve as a thought partner on strategy with business and functional area leaders
We are looking for a future leader who has strong skills, understands the financial services space—specifically, the Retirement and Asset Management industries—and is comfortable interacting with executives.
Candidates must be comfortable working in a high‑profile, dynamic environment and must be willing to support various projects, often simultaneously.
