Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000

Work Arrangement

This role is hybrid. You will report to one of our Aflac offices in Washington, DC for at least 60% of the work week and work from home for the remaining portion of the week.

Role Success Factors
  • Knowledge of Federal Election Commission (FEC) Guidelines related to the PAC
  • Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office suite software
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to oversee a budget in accordance with policies, procedures and internal control
  • Ability to contribute suggestions to improve department operational effectiveness
  • Excellent attention to detail
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, communications or a related field
  • 2+ years of professional job-related work experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Travel

Travel is less than or equal to 10%.

Principal

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversees event scheduling for a $2 million per cycle PAC; coordinates a large volume of PAC check requests in accordance with policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Assists in planning and oversight of high-level political fundraising events, engaging with fundraisers and political campaign teams
  • Develops recommended strategic plan for the lobbying team of PAC disbursements and allocations for PAC giving
  • Supports annual PAC solicitation campaigns for employees and field force
  • Engages with external fundraising consultants and strategy consultants
  • Advises lobbying team on political meetings with Members of Congress and their staff
  • Manages Aflac PAC database and associated data feeds
  • Supports reporting for all facets of the Aflac PAC
  • Fosters and builds relationships with campaigns, fundraisers, and finance teams
  • Proactively identifies and implements industry best practices
  • Works independently to analyze issues to determine best solutions; sets priorities, plans and organizes workload, and meets established deadlines; maintains consistent communication to ensure proper management intervention
  • Leads and coordinates projects of simple to moderate complexity; participates on division or other company-wide projects for the department or works with employee groups producing/originating solutions to improve service and other initiatives that normally impact the division, department, and/or business unit
  • Performs other related duties as required
Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $75,000 – $95,000. The range is specific to the job and is based on factors such as education, experience, licensure, and geographic location. The range does not include potential incentive pay or benefits.
