The Director of Sales– Drug & Value channelwill lead our sales and business development team that supports the newly redesigned Small Format channel for HARIBO of America which includes both the Drug channel and Value channel nationwide.
This is a remote field-based position that will require travel up to 50% of the time, with overnight stays. Reporting up to the Sr. VP of Sales for HARIBO of America,
Director of Sales– Drug & Value will provide strategic direction, coaching, and leadership for both our Drug & Value channel sales teams.
This Director of Sales– Drug & Value role will partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive business, develop and execute strategies, achieve and exceed sales targets and metrics, identify continuous improvement opportunities, ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting, and lead sales growth initiatives for the Drug & Value channel nationwide. The ideal candidates will have 10+ years of CPG, consumer packaged goods, industry experience plus prior experience leading teams, and a Bachelor’s Degree.
Responsibilities- Lead sales growth initiatives HARIBO of America’s business, nationwide, for the newly redesigned Small Format team which focuses on both the Drug channel and the Value channel
- Establish and execute a vision for our Small Format (Drug & Value) business, driving a customer centric, high accountability culture that supports appropriate risk taking and decision making
- Development, lead, coach, and mentor a small team of National Account Managers & Business Development Managers
- Accountable for joint business planning, executing brand strategies, and influencing the four P’s – Product, Price, Placement, and Promotion
- Identify margin improvement opportunities and developing strategies to support
- Accountable for forecasting and budgeting based on proper metrics
- Accountable and responsible for company growth targets with a solutions mindset, collaborative approach with cross functional partners
- Ensures compliance with standards, processes, procedures, and policies, holding other accountable to HARIBO’s high standards
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, category management, marketing, or other related roles within the consumer packaged goods/CPG industry
- Proficient in Nielsen, IRI, Circana or other related syndicated analytical tools
- Located within a commutable distance to a major airport
- This is a remote, field based position that requires the ability to travel up to 50% of the time, with multi-night overnight stays
- Prior experience in candy, confectionery, or salty snacks strongly preferred
- Prior experience calling on the Value channel and/or Drug channel
- Prior supervisory experience – people management/people leadership
- MBA, Master’s Degree in Business Administration
- Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of MS Office including Word and Power Point
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
- Ability to execute day-to-day tactics while developing and monitoring a multi-year strategic plan
- Strong decision making, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Demonstrate excellent management and leadership skills
- Ability to see the big picture while being attentive to details
Target Hiring Pay Range: $195,000 - $235,000 annually
