Overview
Raytheon Company, managed by Collins Aerospace, is a leader in protected communication solutions for the aerospace and defense industry. This position will be hired as a Raytheon employee working as part of the Raytheon organization supporting Collins Mission Systems. Collins is looking to hire a Business Development Manager within our Airborne and Maritime APNT business. The ideal candidate will have experience interacting with existing customers to identify their future needs and provide accurate and timely internal forecasts for existing products.
Position is located in El Segundo, CA; remote work will be considered for exceptional candidates. This is a Hybrid role with on-site and off-site work as determined with leadership.
U.S. Citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility; the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required (Secret). Active security clearance status must be available after day 1.
What You Will Do and How You Will Contribute:
- Work with a cross-functional team of business development, marketing, program management, and engineering leads to identify and pursue new business from existing customers within assigned portfolios.
- Gather information from customers and update forecasts within planning tools.
- Prepare and present preliminary gate reviews for new business opportunities within assigned product lines.
- Be a trusted source of information for existing and upcoming opportunities; act as the voice of the customer within the organization.
- Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships and comfortable briefing senior-level stakeholders.
- Operate with minimal supervision on day-to-day work and adapt to new assignments; travel up to 25% may be required.
- Typically requires a University Degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (e.g., Dynamics, Salesforce) and/or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
- Experience with US Government sales, program management, or engineering.
- Experience with Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts.
- Basic working knowledge of the U.S. Acquisition Process and familiarity with DoD Program Executive Offices (PEOs).

This is a U.S.
-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD and is a good-faith estimate. RTX considers several factors when offering compensation, including role, location, experience, and skills.
