THE ROLE

A commercial Rights & Business Affairs Manager will act as a principal point of advice and direction for the business and Legal Affairs team and represent BBC Studios boards when required. The role will require you to manage, conduct and oversee a wide range of legal & Business Affairs activities throughout various stages of production and ensure these are in accordance with relevant policies and frameworks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategy development and implementation: support the implementation of strategies and business frameworks across portfolios to secure competitive commercial deals and enable BBC Studios to grow in accordance with the business plan, including development and maintenance of standard documentation and processes; propose and deliver innovative solutions to complex business problems.
  • Partnering: forge excellent relationships across legal teams and wider business.
  • Negotiation and contracting: collaborate with the lead Business Legal Affairs representative on negotiation of global commissioning deals; ensure a coordinated approach and strategic advice on more challenging deals.
