Role Purpose andKey Responsibilities
As a Learning Partnerships and Licensing Lead, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the reach and impact of RICS professional development and learning products. You will identify and secure strategic partnerships, negotiate licensing agreements, and manage relationships with content providers and educational institutions. Working closely with internal teams, you will help grow the portfolio of learning solutions available to RICS members while ensuring commercial success and high‑quality partner performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the licensing and partnership strategic plan, identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand the range and reach of RICS learning and professional development products.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to spot emerging opportunities and inform partnership decisions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop partnerships that meet both professional needs and commercial goals.
- Negotiate, draft, and manage licensing agreements in alignment with business objectives, procurement processes and legal requirements.
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with content providers, educational partners and institutional stakeholders.
- Manage ongoing partner performance, resolving challenges and optimising collaboration to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Work closely with product development, go‑to‑market, marketing and sales teams to ensure partnership and licensing activities support wider launch and growth strategies.
- Provide insight into customer needs and market trends, informed by analysis from the Business Insights and Research team, to support product development and partnership strategy.
- Lead effective project management to ensure curricula and learning materials are delivered on time and within budget.
You are a commercially minded Learning Partnerships or Licensing professional with strong relationship‑building skills and a passion for expanding access to high‑quality learning. You understand the value of professional development in the built environment and enjoy working collaboratively to deliver impact.
- Experience in licensing, business development or partnerships within professional development, corporate training or EdTech.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with proven ability to build and sustain strategic relationships.
- Familiarity with intellectual property (IP) licensing and distribution agreements.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Data‑driven mindset with the ability to analyse market trends and performance metrics.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion, with the ability to work effectively across global teams with varying expertise and backgrounds.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate effectively across functions.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
- Solution‑focused problem‑solving skills with the ability to navigate challenges proactively.
