General Position DescriptionThe Senior Proposal Manager is responsible for leading, planning, scheduling, and overseeing the timely development and delivery of high-quality responses to federal business opportunities, from pre-RFP to post-submission activities, in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a thought leader, able to see the big picture without overlooking the details, fosters a positive and responsive team environment, and can quickly adjust to dynamic proposal development schedules and requirements.
The "home office" for this position is located in Orlando, FL. Actual work location may vary.
Responsibilities- Demonstrates a clear understanding of the company's history, projects, capabilities, and structure.
- Take end-to-end ownership and command of the proposal process, including implementation of new and best practices.
- Define and implement a streamlined capture and proposal development process for the organization.
- Implement best practices to develop a library of reusable and high frequency information assets.
- Manage the successful development of compliant, competitive, cogent, and compelling proposals through effective collaboration across teams that include internal staff, partners, consultants, and supporting vendors.
- Lead and analyze RFI, RFQ, RFPs and other bid documents for requirements.
- Develop and manage the proposal schedule, outline, compliance matrix, proposal plans, proposal kickoffs, and technical solution sessions.
- Take ownership of the quality of the proposal for color reviews and final delivery by performing rigorous quality assurance checks on draft and final documents.
- Work within the proposal team to determine author assignments and integrate win strategy, themes, and discriminators into proposal.
- Develop targeted questions and interview technical and project staff to extract from them the critical information necessary to include in a proposal.
- Oversee development of high quality, high impact artwork and graphics for proposals.
- Manage multiple simultaneous proposal tasks with some rapid turnaround deadlines.
- Manage the development of oral presentations, discussions, and proposal revisions.
- Ensure the high-quality content and appearance of final proposal deliverables.
- Conduct and document proposal lessons learned and implement actions to improve process efficiencies.
- Support other business development professionals (e.g., editorial support, volume management, review participation) when necessary.
- Collaborates with the Operations, Business Development, Estimating, Marketing, and Contracts staff on proposals.
- Conducts proposal debriefs with customers. Integrates strengths, corrects weaknesses, and recommends improvements for future proposals. Ensures all proposal debriefs are thoroughly and timely documented.
- For Security Clearance Requirements - must be a US Citizen, as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Communications, Business Administration, English, Public Relations or a related field.
