Job Summary

Enterprise Projects (EP) is a growing team within Arch’s Strategy and Innovation group that drives the future state design of strategically important underwriting and claims initiatives. Our mission is to design modern user experiences to improve ease of doing business, productivity, and responsiveness to accelerate growth. We help underwriters and claim adjusters make better informed, faster decisions by incorporating technologies such as AI-powered intelligent document processing, data enrichment via third‑party sources, and analytics‑driven prioritization.

Responsibilities
  • Understand business process, document current underwriter experience, and identify opportunities to transform the user experience by leveraging analytics and automation.
  • Collaborate internally and externally to actively engage in development of an analytics‑driven future state vision for prioritized work areas.
  • Collaborate with Arch’s Operations and IT teams to translate solution design into functional requirements that inform UI/UX development.
  • Establish strong relationships with cross‑functional team members to influence and drive alignment around future state vision.
  • Act as strategic advisor on large and medium‑sized initiatives – providing observations and recommendations related to analytics and automation solutions within technology platforms and operations.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through regular communication and touchpoints.
  • Proactively escalation risks/issues to leadership as they arise.
  • Help establish best practices and repeatable processes applicable across the various business units.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in P/C insurance business process analysis and process improvement, preferably in commercial lines underwriting.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills to play a key role in cross‑functional teams; ability to collaborate and build trusting relationships with business partners.
  • Strong understanding of the P/C insurance business and a passion for the industry.
  • Track record of identifying opportunities for transforming business processes.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead discussions and synthesize input from various stakeholders to drive consensus on approach.
  • Track record of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver technology solutions.
  • Strong organization skills – task management, time management and project management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to convey complex concepts to people across the organization.
  • Natural curiosity to understand, question as needed, and improve the world around you.
  • Ability to export and apply learnings from other projects and build scalable, repeatable business frameworks.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Prior commercial lines underwriting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in professional services or management consulting.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Compensation

Base salary range: $130,000 - $155,000 per year. Position is incentive eligible.

Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long‑term incentives) will take into account geographic location, scope & responsibilities, qualifications, talent availability, specialization and business needs.
