Summary: The Nourishing Network Coordinator keeps food moving to more than 120 nonprofit partner programs, helping deliver over $5 million in annual food value to neighbors facing hunger. Each day, you will pull and stage agency orders, coordinate donations with Food Rescue drivers, manage inventory with FEFO, and complete accurate invoicing in Microsoft Ceres while supporting receiving and warehouse operations. You will also build strong relationships with partner agencies and support monitoring visits that strengthen safe, reliable distribution across our community.

FLSA Classification: Non-exempt; hourly

Pay Range: $20.00 per hour plus competitive benefits.

Spanish Bilingual differential: $0.75 per hour (as eligible)

Position Type: Full-time; 40 hours per work week

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri; 7:30a-4:00p with the ability to flex hours to accommodate business needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

OPERATIONS (95%)
  • Oversee daily Nourishing Network operations, maintaining a clean, organized, partner ready space.
  • Plan, pull, stage, and distribute agency orders accurately and on schedule.
  • Coordinate with Food Rescue Route Drivers to receive appropriate, nutritious food for agency distribution.
  • Restock product, manage inventory transfers, and maintain appropriate stock levels to meet partner needs.
  • Prioritize FEFO to support quality, minimize waste, and maintain safe product flow.
  • Track and coordinate waste removal, reporting, and composting processes as assigned.
  • Complete accurate agency invoicing in Microsoft Ceres, including end-of-day reconciliation and verification.
  • Maintain weekly shopping lists and communicate needs and updates with the Programs Manager.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with agency partners to understand needs and support consistent service.
  • Support agency monitoring visits as needed to promote safe storage and distribution practices.
  • Maintain sanitation standards including cleaning logs, housekeeping routines, and food safety compliance.
  • Prepare for events requiring donations, warehouse space, or equipment coordination.
  • Assist with central operations and other warehouse duties as needed.

  • Maintain adherence to FBLC safety, OSHA, and food safety standards, prioritizing safety for oneself and others, including when operating company equipment or vehicles.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Operational execution and accuracy: Produces high quality outcomes in a fast-paced warehouse environment, balancing multiple priorities and tight deadlines while pulling, staging, and distributing orders and completing accurate invoicing and end of day verification in Microsoft Ceres.
  • Food safety, organization, and problem solving: Maintains strong sanitation and food safety practices, manages inventory using FEFO, minimizes waste, and uses analytical thinking and problem solving to resolve issues quickly and keep operations moving.
  • Communication, integrity, and partner service: Excellent verbal and written communicator who builds trusted relationships with agency partners and internal teams while demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and appropriate discretion in daily work.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required, along with prior warehouse and inventory experience.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successful completion of all pre-screening requirements.
  • Passing of the WorkSTEPS job-specific test.
  • 21+ years of age and possession of a valid U.S. Driver's License with a good driving record, as confirmed through an MVR check.

LANGUAGE SKILLS & ABILITY: Proficiency in English required, bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.

COMPUTER

SKILLS:

  • Prefer experience with Inventory and Project Management systems, especially Microsoft Navision Ceres 2009.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online technologies is essential.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct reports but may support the coordination of volunteers.
