Role Overview
We’re looking for a results-driven Retail Account Manager to help grow JLab’s retail business by owning and expanding a portfolio of small and emerging retail accounts. This role partners closely with Senior Sales leadership and cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth, improve account-level profitability, and strengthen retailer relationships across multiple product categories.
In this role, you’ll shape account strategies, evaluate financial performance, and take action to drive stronger commercial results. You’ll identify growth opportunities within existing accounts, pursue selective new retail opportunities, and manage the overall commercial health of your account portfolio. Occasional travel is required.

Key Responsibilities- Own and manage a portfolio of retail accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and taking accountability for overall account performance.
- Develop, execute, and refine account-level strategies to drive revenue growth and strengthen retailer partnerships.
- Identify and pursue new retail opportunities that align with JLab’s growth strategy, both within existing accounts and through selective new account development.
- Build and maintain account-level business plans to support sustained growth and expansion of the assigned account base.
- Manage account-level financial performance, including gross-to-net analysis, promotional economics, and profitability levers, and evaluate and recommend actions to improve returns.
- Develop and recommend promotional and pricing strategies that increase sales while maintaining healthy margins and brand positioning.
- Owns forecasting for assigned accounts and collaborates cross-functionally to align operational planning with account strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and Operations to shape and adapt brand strategies to retailer needs.
- Monitor the competitive landscape across pricing, assortment, and promotional activity, incorporating insights into account planning.
- Leverage CRM data and performance reporting to assess account health, forecast opportunities, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Support the sales team by coordinating select account activities, including promotional calendar submissions and new product setup within retailer systems, as part of broader account strategy execution.
- 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a commercial role within CPG, consumer electronics, or a related industry, with an understanding of how retail and vendor relationships function and how retailers make internal category and merchandising decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and translate insights into action (e.g. gross-to-net, margins, pricing, promotional economics).
- Experience building and managing relationships with external partners or customers.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% within the US. Travel to Canada may be necessary in the future.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and must maintain authorization for the duration of employment. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas for this position.
- Salary Range: $70,500-$75,000/year, based on experience.
- Eligible for an annual discretionary target bonus of 5% of base salary, based on individual and company performance.
