Position Description

As a Finance and Insurance Risk Management Consultant at KPA, you will play a pivotal role in helping automotive dealerships identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks. You will collaborate with dealership leadership, F&I teams, and other personnel to develop and implement effective risk management strategies. Your responsibilities include analyzing dealership operations to assess regulatory compliance through field audits and deal jacket reviews, evaluating financial risk exposure, and designing tailored solutions to enhance compliance and reduce liability.

You will empower automotive clients to make informed decisions that safeguard their business, ensure regulatory adherence, and optimize profitability.

Location and Travel

This is a remote position based out of the employee’s home office. The territory is primarily around Atlanta, GA and extends to Alabama, South Carolina, and Mississippi with roughly 50% overnight travel expected. Frequent visits to clients within the territory are required, including overnight travel.

First 60 Days
  • Shadow our teams’ consultants and learn how to conduct a KPA Sales and Finance Compliance Audit
  • Learn the Vera Suite system thoroughly and how to use the handheld in the field
  • Attend in-person meetings and webinars on the Sales and Finance product
  • Inherit a customer service base and quickly establish relationships with managers and management teams across many dealerships
  • Complete new hire orientation to be fully operational as a KPA F&I Consultant, using KPA technology to perform audits with a handheld device
  • Pass a test on F&I compliance before becoming operational
First 6 Months
  • Demonstrate exceptional industry and regulatory knowledge through onsite field audits, employee training, and regulatory interaction
  • Organize client visit schedules to maximize travel efficiency based on local and distant client groupings and service frequency
  • Assist with and/or prepare various compliance documentation as needed
End of Year Expectations
  • Help communicate and implement sales and finance management compliance systems
  • Support ongoing growth by delivering exceptional customer service and submitting 20 referrals or sales leads per year to your area Account Executive
  • Promote productive relationships with dealer group management and State Dealer Association Management
  • Deliver in-person presentations on dealership compliance responsibilities and how our product line supports them
Responsibilities & Success Criteria
  • Communicate clearly in person, in writing, and by phone; collaborate effectively with clients
  • Operate in a fast-paced, self-directed environment while representing KPA professionally
  • Understand Federal and State regulations affecting automotive dealerships and apply them to client work
  • Manage accounts efficiently and document activities in the CRM
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in a role overseeing Finance & Insurance regulations at an automotive dealership; deep knowledge of Finance and Sales regulations and compliance
  • Ability to stay current with regulatory trends and adapt KPA policies accordingly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to interpret complex issues and their business impact
  • Excellent communication skills in person and in writing
  • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and take ownership of issues
  • Demonstrated integrity and ability to foster a compliance culture
  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities; proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and mobile devices
Location & Travel Expectations
  • This position will be based in the Atlanta, GA area, servicing clients in GA, MS, SC, and AL
  • Travel: ~50% overnight; 2–4 air trips per year; 4–5 days per week on-site at Auto Dealerships
