Overview

Join Silver Edge Government Solutions as a Contracts Administrator. The role works closely with business unit presidents, program managers, capture managers, finance and proposal teams, and interfaces regularly with technical and operations organizations to provide guidance and direction to staff, project management, and peers.

Location

Hybrid Position – Columbia, MD or Herndon, VA office and home office.

Position Summary

Reporting to the VP, Contracts, the Contracts Administrator will manage cradle‑to‑grave contract administration duties, including review and negotiation of contracts and amendments, monitoring deliverables for compliance with company policy, contract law, and applicable regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform cradle-to-grave contract administration duties; handle review and negotiation of contracts and contract modifications, initiate or review correspondence, and monitor deliverables, ensuring compliance with company policy, contract law and applicable regulations for assigned programs.
  • Conduct detailed RFP review, proposal preparation and submission, negotiations, and contract administration in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Issue, review and negotiate Non‑Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements.
  • Provide internal customer support on behalf of the Contracts department to other departments, i.e., business development and accounting.
  • Maintain and update CostPoint with contract information.
  • Monitor performance, funding and payments on assigned contracts.
  • Prepare correspondence for customers and maintain contracts, subcontracts and proposal files; analyze Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and participate in proposal efforts.
  • Communicate directly with Program Managers in the development and administration of contracts; prepare and submit recurring contract reports.
  • Apply company policies to contract performance.
  • Assist with reporting and compiling information related to the company’s contracts.
  • Provide subcontract administration support, as needed, for prime proposals or prime contracts, including basic procurement procedures, issuing subcontracts, task orders and modifications, and maintaining subcontract files.
  • Perform other Contracts team projects, as requested.
  • Respond in a timely manner to requests.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent related experience.
  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in contract administration, including experience with FFP, T&M and Cost‑Plus contracts.
  • Knowledge of proposal preparation, including cost proposals and other contract‑related documentation; understands contract or pricing functions, contract administration principles, industry practices, regulations and policies.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, ITAR and other related Government Regulations.
  • Familiarity with Costpoint and SharePoint preferred.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external customers.
  • Analytical mind with ability to complete complex assignments.
  • Highly organized self‑starter with stellar customer service skills.
  • Able to operate independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to recognize difficult situations, be aware of when/how to ask for assistance from senior team members/management.
