Overview

US Government Contracts Pre-Sales Analyst at Omm IT Solutions — Work from Home / 100% Remote. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm US Eastern Time, Mon - Fri.

Location:

Columbia, Maryland (United States).

Responsibilities
  • Drive new business in US federal government contracts.
  • Daily prospecting in target accounts, pipeline growth and prospect qualification.
  • Research, track, and identify government agency needs and requirements; perform market research and business intelligence on opportunities.
  • Qualify and prioritize opportunities; formulate win strategies to position the company to secure new business directly with government organizations through full life cycle capture and through partnerships with prime contractors.
  • Work with regional partners to deliver sales revenue targets.
  • Identify new opportunities and increase productivity of existing account executives through skill development.
  • Leverage existing contracts and activities on strategic accounts; maintain activity standards and foster a constructive sales culture.
  • Monitor government portals daily and present opportunities to the team based on past performance.
  • Review past performances and client relationships to build an 18-month pipeline of top opportunities.
  • Produce draft opportunities for Leadership review and refine the pipeline based on feedback.
  • Perform strategic analysis to identify opportunities to increase PWIN and win contracts.
  • Deliver a final Pipeline Briefing including incumbent, competitive, and teaming analyses to identify potential partners.
  • Contact and engage potential teaming members for introductory calls and follow-ups.
  • Update the pipeline for contract changes and ongoing activities.
  • Coordinate with the contracts team to finalize NDA and TA with potential teaming members.
  • Assist leadership in potential capture processes for identified opportunities.
  • Reach out to Small Business Development/Contracting Officers to inform them about capabilities and past performance.
  • Attend Vendor Outreach Sessions, Industry Day Events and Webinars; summarize outcomes for leadership.
  • Keep CRM updated with notes and updates.
  • Assist team in bidding and winning state and federal government opportunities.
  • Mentor, train, and lead junior team members; follow established processes and submit detailed status reports.
Qualifications
  • Understand US government contract terms and jargon.
  • Prior experience researching opportunities on Gov Win, Fed Biz Ops , SAM, SBA or similar platforms.
  • Strong research skills across IT domains and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently in a home office with minimal distractions.
  • Team player with excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving attitude and solution-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and related tools; highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • High-speed internet connection (min. 50 Mbps) and a computer (min. 8 GB RAM, Windows 10).
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base pay; quarterly performance awards; annual appraisals and increments.
