The Amlon Group is seeking a driven and strategically minded Business Development Manager to support commercial growth at our Memphis, Tennessee Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility (TSDF). This role is responsible for expanding our inbound waste portfolio by sourcing, qualifying, and securing non-hazardous and hazardous industrial waste streams from manufacturers, refineries, and brokers across the region. The ideal candidate brings deep regulatory awareness, strong technical competency in waste characterization, and a consultative selling approach that aligns customer needs with Amlon’s treatment capabilities.
This position plays a critical role in strengthening our market presence and advancing Amlon’s long-term commercial strategy.
- Identify, qualify, and onboard generators and brokers of non-hazardous and hazardous industrial waste streams aligned with Memphis, TN Treatment Storage and Disposal Facility.
- Target industrial manufacturers, refineries, and waste brokers across the Region.
- Negotiate pricing, treatment options, and logistics in collaboration with Operations, Transportation, and Compliance teams.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities using Hub Spot CRM to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Engage with EHS managers, procurement, plant managers and facility engineers to understand waste generation, profiles and compliance needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Amlon’s other Business Development Managers to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Represent Amlon at industry events.
- Provide customer and market feedback to support ongoing commercial and operational strategy refinement.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Chemistry, Business, or equivalent industry experience preferred but not required.
- 5–10 years of business development or account management experience in hazardous waste, TSDF, or environmental services.
- Strong knowledge of RCRA regulations, hazardous waste codes, and waste profiling.
- Experience selling into brokers, refineries, chemical plants, or manufacturing facilities.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Hub Spot preferred).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
