Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Deal Ops Coordinator (Part-time |  or Remote, North America)

Play Money has delivered the modern commerce experience to Angel investing. We’ve started by helping everyday Angels build diversified startup portfolios without making investing a full‑time job, and at just about any budget. Eventually, we will rewire the entire $30B early‑stage funding market, doing for deal flow discovery & engagement what Angel List did for back office and transactions, and operating like a $1B fluid fund.

We’ve been live for almost two years, and are deploying more capital per month than a $25M venture fund, and are consistently growing 10% M/M from organic word of mouth. As we grow, we’re looking for a high‑initiative, detail‑obsessed, and startup‑curious Deal Ops Coordinator to help us produce best‑in‑class investment opportunities every week.

This is an ideal, operations‑focused role for someone who wants hands‑on exposure to early‑stage startups, venture capital, and the mechanics of deal‑making.

The Role

As our Deal Ops Coordinator, you’ll support and eventually own our weekly deal‑production process from end to end. You’ll work closely with founders, deal leads, and our internal team to bring high‑quality, investor‑ready deals to life on Play Money.

You will:

  • Write & build deal memos from scratch: Turn founder decks, transcripts, and internal notes into polished, digestible, investor‑ready deal memos in Play Money’s distinctive voice.
  • Support founder relationships: Be a point of contact for founders, collecting additional materials, coordinating edits, and ensuring each deal is accurate, compelling, and ready to go live.
  • Coordinate pitch recordings: Schedule, host, and lightly produce founder pitch recordings and Q&A sessions that accompany each deal.
  • Project manage each deal workflow: Keep our internal pipeline organized, ensure deals move from intake → memo → review → recording → launch on schedule.
  • Quality control: Ensure every deal meets our brand, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Work with marketing: Support the content funnel from founder ops to our marketing team.
Who You Are
  • Recent graduate (or someone early career) with a strong interest in startups, venture capital, or early‑stage investing.
  • A strong writer who can turn complex information into clear, concise narratives.
  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple deal timelines at once.
  • Comfortable talking to founders and representing the Play Money brand.
  • You have a strong knack for AI tools and automations and love finding ways to make workflows faster, cleaner, and more scalable.
  • Naturally digitally social; comfortable being on camera and engaging with founders live (recordings, Q&A, content, live AMAs).
  • A natural communicator with close attention to detail (you catch typos before anyone else does).
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked with startups in the past.
Commitment & Compensation
  • Part‑time
    : ~20 hrs/week (with potential to become a full‑time role)
  • Remote‑friendly
  • Compensation:
    Competitive hourly
, with opportunities for growth as we scale.
Why Join Play Money

You’ll get a front‑row seat to the early‑stage ecosystem and learn how real venture deals come together, from sourcing to diligence to storytelling to investor activation. You’ll work directly with our founders and have the ability to shape how deals are produced for a community of thousands of angels.

If you’re obsessed with startups and want to learn the inside of early‑stage capital building, this is the role.
