As a Credit Policy & Risk Strategy Intern, you will support initiatives that improve and modernize the SBB credit policy and strategy framework. This role offers exposure to real-world policy and strategy development, credit risk analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will have the opportunity to:
Contribute to the refinement of the SBB credit policy and strategy roadmap.Help optimize and standardize policy and strategy tracking processes to enhance transparency and operational efficiency.Assist with credit strategy enhancements and credit policy reviews in line with evolving business goals and risk appetite.Support the review of credit performance indicators (e.g. PCL, write-offs, exceptions) to provide insights into policy and strategy effectiveness.Prepare internal presentations and summary materials to communicate policy updates and rationale to stakeholders.Collaborate with partners across Risk, Product, and Front Line colleagues feedback and ensure alignment on key initiativesStay current on external credit trends and industry practices to support competitive benchmarking.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Currently enrolled in a master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related fieldMust be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work termStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Interest in business lending and credit risk.Experience with SAS, SQL, Power
BI, or Tableau is an assetPrior exposure to Business Banking or credit-related internship/coursework experienceADDITIONAL INFORMATION
