The Opportunity with Mc Kinstry
We are seeking a Business Operations Lead to join our National Design Build division in Seattle, WA. Responsibilities may include:
Project Management & Process Improvement- Champion McKinstry processes and procedures to enhance business productivity.
- Lead large scope projects within assigned business unit.
- Oversee the administrative project workflow, including active work forecast, backlog, and achievement of project deliverables within required deadlines.
- Lead meetings as requested and ensure tracking and follow‑up of resulting action items. Take meeting notes as needed.
- Own department SharePoint and help establish and maintain consistency with SharePoint use, including auditing and updating documents and sites as required.
- Identify opportunities and develop process for improvements in operational processes and structures.
- Oversee a team of one or more Business Operations Specialists or Business Operations Analysts.
- Develop and train employees.
- Recommend professional training and supports employee career planning.
- Communicate company goals, policies, plans and priorities.
- Collaborate with team to define and communicate priorities.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners.
- Participate in cross‑functional committees and teams.
- Help gather client insight to drive process improvements.
- Serve as back‑up to other Business Operations teammates as needed.
- Support efforts to ensure department goals are aligned with business unit and company goals.
- Communicate and coordinate with McKinstry internal resources to meet project deliverables.
- Manage flow of information to SharePoint, the network, and stakeholders.
- Communicate continual improvement processes.
- Participate in purposeful outreach and connecting to departments and regions.
- Collaborate with team to communicate and share information and best practices.
- Purposefully reaches out to connect staff and peers across departments and regions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed at Mc Kinstry- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) + 8 years experience.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
- Advanced knowledge in SharePoint required.
- Experience in architecture, engineering, construction or other professional services industry required.
- One (1) year people management experience preferred.
- Experience working within matrixed environment preferred.

The pay range for this position is $80,100 - $134,400 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
