Due to growth within both Severn Trent and our BI team we are looking to recruit a
BI Report Developer.

This role is integral to our operations, offering a unique opportunity to enhance customer satisfaction through impactful data insights.

As our BI Report Developer,you’lltake ownership of the full end‑to‑end report development process. Working closely with Reporting Partners and Business Requesters,you’ll translate their needs intoaccurate, well-defined specifications that guide your report builds.

You’llprovide reporting solutions to a range of business users — from operational teams to finance — andyou’llbe aligned to a specific business area, allowing you to build strong relationships and gain a deep understanding of their priorities. Whether supporting existing reports or designing new self‑serve dashboards,you’lldevelop intuitive, user‑friendly outputs that make data easy to access and even easier to understand.

Your work will shape best practice across the organisation, ensuring stakeholders have the right information, at the right time, to deliver excellent service.

You’lldesign, build, test, and refine reports, agreeing timescales and delivery plans with the team to keep everything running smoothly.

You’llalso create technical specifications, conduct functional unit testing, and investigate and resolve any issues with self‑serve reports to ensure everythingremainsaccurateand reliable.

Severn Trent Centre in Coventry. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week

WHAT

WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We will look for you to be technically minded and to have some knowledge and experience in coding language such as SQL and DAX. It is essential you have experience in building reports in Power BI. It would also be great if you are a good communicator with strong planning and organisation skills.
