Senior Business Analyst - Fleet Management Systems (Automotive Domain)

• Fleet lifecycle management (vehicle onboarding, assignment, decommissioning)
• Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise or SaaS fleet management applications**.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with 10+ years of experience working closely with product management, engineering, operations, and external stakeholders to define, analyse, and deliver complex fleet and mobility solutions.

This role requires strong domain knowledge of vehicle lifecycle, telematics, fleet operations, and automotive ecosystems, along with proven experience translating business needs into scalable digital solutions.

• Elicit, analyse, validate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for fleet management platforms.
• Translate business needs into BRDs, FRDs, PRDs, use cases, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead requirement workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions with fleet operators, OEM partners, and internal teams.
• Ensure end-to-end requirements traceability from concept through development, testing, and deployment.

• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to define product vision, roadmap, and MVP scope.
• Partner with engineering teams (backend, frontend, mobile, data, IoT) to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities.
• Support QA teams with test scenarios, UAT planning, and defect triage.

• Map AS-IS and TO-BE processes using BPMN, UML, or equivalent modelling techniques.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend automation or system enhancements.
• Support change management and rollout strategies for new fleet solutions.

• Define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting requirements for fleet performance and operational insights.
• Work with data and analytics teams to ensure accurate data capture from vehicles, devices, and integrations.
• Support decision-making using data-driven insights.

• Act as a senior BA within Agile/Scrum or SAFe environments.
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support release planning and incremental delivery of features.
• Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to BA best practices.

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in automotive, mobility, fleet management, or transportation domains.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise or SaaS fleet management applications.
• Strong experience working with OEMs, fleet operators, telematics providers, or mobility platforms.

• Deep understanding of automotive systems and vehicle data.
• Telematics, IoT, GPS, CAN data.
• Fleet operations and compliance.
• Vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and lifecycle management.

• Strong proficiency in requirement documentation and modelling tools (JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucid chart, etc.).
• Ability to understand system architectures, APIs, integrations, and data flows.
• Experience with mobile and web applications for fleet and driver use cases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Hands‑on experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban), Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and product development lifecycle.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence without authority and manage complex, cross‑functional dependencies.
• Strong facilitation and negotiation skills.
• Mentoring and leadership experience with junior analysts.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI‑PBA, SAFe BA/PO, or equivalent are a plus.

• Experience with connected vehicles, EV fleets, or autonomous mobility solutions.
• Exposure to global fleet operations and regulatory environments.
• Experience working with cloud‑based platforms and microservices architectures.
